I hoped he would redeem himself a little more in this but also when I think of it I love how he stays true to himself and doesn't just flip a switch for Aspen. Forced to attend Corium University for a safety but also around kids of the mafia who see the crime her father committed on her well they make her life hell. Like a thief I came in the dead of night and stole her away from her protected castle and placed her in a gilded cage made of gold. Because Aspen is nothing to him.

Both narrators inflections brought the characters and their story to reality. I won't give any spoilers but this book is not for the faint of heart. A lot of 'meh' (boxset review).
