One of the first songs I thought of for this list, this is an incredible instrumental that most people know as the theme from Top Gear, which is terrible. Folk-rock at its finest, this is one of those bands who were big in the UK at the time, but despite recording and releasing music for decades, seem to be one that is a niche like. This is The Beach Boys' song that made it, a fun bit of sing-along surf music that is a real joy to listen to. What I loved about this is how original it was. Q: 'Little Queenie' by Jan Berry (1977). Sadly this video did not get much airplay cause it is a beautiful song, I personally think it really says what all military people feel. The female fashion model's romance with the taxi driver (being George Michael, lol) is what brings out the video in terms of the song. His video "Future brain" was very well directed where he was a doctor who tried to wake up a hurt girl. Sparse instrumentation with guitar and strings, a constant beat and tempo, this is a strange little song, but it is mesmerising to listen to, an odd song about waving to Zelda. One of Costello's best tracks, and one I related to as I watched my own grandfather slip into his own world. George Michael had an incredible, impeccable talent. Considered a classic for a reason. Z: 'Zelda' by Pete Townshend (1983).
An artist taken way too soon. Past editor: Junior. My Friend of Misery. I am an Oldfield completist, and this track is right up there with his best. It should be known as an awesome piece of country-rock. Overall, the rhythm was simply key, but I thought Billy Idol was just a very interesting person to watch and to listen to. Judas Priest wearing those amazing leather clothes, the stage with the lights, the "pole position" video game, those guys headbanging and the entire awesome and adrenalinic song, makes me scream "hell yeah! " I could watch the video over and over. Because it is a feel good song. This song had to be here. The greatest rock song of all time! And The Damned's cover is pretty good as well. The song kicks @&& too!!! A truly beautiful music video, perfect to match the greatest Christmas song of all time!
