The engine runs just fine, it is stock but for a mild hydralic cam. I just screwed my sending unit right into the block and did away with the plug in and I havent had any codes come up or any problems. There was no sign of tape on the old sensor so I just put a thin coat of anti-seize on it. I know most of you will say just rebuild the engine, but that is not in the cards right now. I have used brake clean and got 90% of the oil mess cleaned up. Under load, as in going up a hill, the oil pressure will come up to about 30psi.
